Those of us working in the healthcare field often have the perception that our work has a particular added value: the emotional reward of knowing that we’re helping others cope with their illnesses and contributing to improve their life quality.
That feeling is even bigger when you have the opportunity to cooperate with the outstanding job that Medical Mission Network is doing in terms of medical assistance to people in need living in Mexico’s most precarious regions.
Rural villages which, because of their location away from big cities, lack basic services such as gas and therefore they use firewood for cooking with subsequent inhalation of smoke and dust contribute to development of chronic diseases like COPD and asthma.
That’s why we are more than pleased to make our platform available to Medical Mission Network for free, so patients of small villages in the Bacalar region in south of Mexico can use Medtep care plans under their doctors and volunteers supervision, in order to keep track of their health progress and promote adherence to treatment.
Knowing that our platform will help improve needy people’s lives means a lot to us. Collaborations like these fill us up with motivating energy and reinforce the feeling that we’re doing things right, not only as a company but also as human beings.
