Starting tomorrow, March 25th, until Wednesday, March 27th, the annually Infarma Madrid exhibition will be taking place in the Feria de Madrid.
Infarma includes two main events, one of which is called the European Congress of Pharmacy Office. This event will feature speakers from all over Europe, giving their insight on major issues of interest within the pharmacy world today. It also invites all healthcare professionals to share their scientific and/or professional experience with an abstract, a poster, and a presentation. At the end there will be 3 awards given out to the top three participants. It is estimated that there will be more than 2,000 delegates sharing their ideas.
Along with the congress, there is also an event for trade visitors. This sector is for over 300 companies to get an opportunity to showcase their products and services. It is estimated that there will be at least 25,000 total visitors at this year’s Infarma.
For the first time, Infarma will also be offering workshops that allow visitors to train in sessions with case studies that are provided by Agora. As they are given a feel of real-life-experience, they will be focusing on the welfare work of a pharmacist by using inhalers, management in pharmacy, homeopathy, herbal medicine and derma-pharmacy. There will be eleven 30-minute workshops held throughout the three days of the event.
According to the president and chairman of the COF of Madrid, Alberto Garcia Romero, the most important part of this week is “to boost the current debates on the professional model, new 2.0 pharmacy technology, social networks, electronic prescriptions, internet sales, etc.”
